Chapter 3 - The Chemical Prison

The subway train screeched to a massive, violently loud halt at an abandoned industrial station on the absolute edge of the sprawling city.
Leo carefully helped Julian navigate the dark, incredibly dirty platform, completely leading him toward a heavily fortified, rusted warehouse.
Inside the warehouse, Leo had meticulously constructed a brilliant, completely off-the-grid command center filled with stolen servers and medical equipment.
Julian sat heavily on a worn leather couch, his entire body violently shaking as the chemical withdrawal completely began to take over his system.
"The neuro-toxins are actively leaving your bloodstream, which means your central nervous system is going to completely aggressively reboot," Leo warned softly.
He handed Julian a completely clean glass of purified water and a small, sterile towel to wipe his violently sweating face.
For the next four agonizing hours, Julian experienced an absolute, terrifying hell that completely defied human imagination.
His muscles forcefully cramped, his vision violently blurred, and a massive, burning fever entirely consumed his fragile body.
He screamed entirely out in pure agony, gripping the armrests of the couch so tightly that his knuckles completely turned pale white.
But through the entire horrific ordeal, he kept aggressively reminding himself that this temporary pain was the absolute price of his permanent freedom.
As the sun finally began to set outside the dirty warehouse windows, the violent tremors completely subsided, leaving Julian incredibly exhausted but entirely clear-headed.
Leo walked over to a massive, glowing computer monitor and completely pulled up a highly encrypted, stolen medical database.
"I managed to hack directly into the private servers of your personal physician, Dr. Aris," Leo explained, entirely pointing at the complex digital documents.
"Dr. Aris has been receiving massive, completely untraceable offshore wire transfers every single month for the last nine years."
Julian stared at the financial ledgers, completely recognizing the hidden corporate accounts that were actively funding his medical imprisonment.
The accounts belonged entirely to his vicious ex-wife, Evelyn, and his current corporate CEO, a ruthlessly ambitious man named Victor Sterling.
They had entirely convinced the global board of directors that Julian was mentally entirely unfit and physically incapable of running Vance Industries.
They had legally stolen his massive empire, entirely locking him in a wheelchair while they completely drained his billions into their own pockets.

Julian slowly stood up from the leather couch, completely entirely unsupported by any medical devices or human assistance.
His legs were incredibly sore, but they were entirely completely functional, strong, and ready for absolute, unforgiving war.
