Three days later...
One of the boys returned to school.
Not for class.
For the principal.
His eyes were red.
His hands wouldn't stop shaking.
"I need to tell the truth."
The principal remained silent.
The boy finally broke.
"It wasn't my idea."
"We planned to scare her..."
"But Tyler wanted everyone to laugh."
He lowered his head.
"He said..."
"...no one would care about the girl with the fake leg."
The principal slowly stood.
His voice was ice cold.
"You didn't bully her because she was weak."
"You bullied her..."
"...because you thought nobody would protect her."
