Six months later, sunlight filled the nursery.

Marina cradled her newborn daughter while Elena adjusted a mobile above the crib.

The mansion felt different now.

Not because of the marble floors or the sparkling pool beyond the repaired glass doors.

Because fear was gone.

Victor had accepted a plea agreement and was barred from approaching Marina. The trust remained secure, and Elena had transferred a portion of the estate into a fund for the baby’s future.

Marina looked down at her daughter’s tiny fingers wrapped around her own.

“What should we call her?” Elena asked.

Marina smiled.

“Hope.”
