Chapter 20 - Infiltrating the Docks
Under the cover of a thick midnight fog, Samuel and Lily arrived at the sprawling, rusted warehouse at Pier 14. Armed men patrolled the perimeter with flashlights and guard dogs. Using Samuel’s knowledge of the facility's ventilation system, they crept inside through an overhead air duct. Below them, tied to a wooden chair in the center of the warehouse, was Clara. Vance stood over her, slapping a glass of water from her lips. "Last chance, Clara. Where is the child and the ledger?"
