Chapter 26 - The Fall of Vance
Chaos erupted. Detective Miller tried to run for the side door, but was tackled to the ground by three federal agents. Vance, desperate to save himself, lunged toward the catwalk ladder to grab Lily. But Clara, summoning every ounce of her remaining strength, grabbed an iron pipe from the ground and swung it with all her might, striking Vance across the legs. He crashed onto the concrete floor, groaning in pain as agents swarmed him and pinned his arms behind his back.
