Chapter 29 - The Feast of Abundance
In their new, beautiful home overlooking the city park, Clara and Lily stood together in a spacious, modern kitchen. Clara opened the door to a massive, stainless-steel refrigerator. Inside, the shelves were filled with fresh fruit, milk, vegetables, and delicious treats of every kind. But more importantly, the appliance hummed with a strong, steady, vibrant sound. There was no rattle, no flicker, and no fear. Lily reached in, pulled out two fresh apples, and handed one to her mother with a bright smile.
